Through coaching and research on curriculum selection, extracurricular activities, resume building, summer experiences, and application statements, learn and present your authentic and most enthusiastic self to colleges and universities.
Recent Students
Brian – A STEM-oriented student, I worked with him to garner top ACT scores and extra-curricular experiences: building a community center in a teacher’s home village in Senegal. He is now pursuing a dual-degree program in management and engineering at Bucknell (10% acceptance rate).
Lindsay – Worked with this STEM student to build on strong grades with extra-curricular experience shadowing science labs studying a spike in breast cancer in her hometown. I also supported her pursuit of dance, becoming a captain at her dance school. She is now studying biology at Vanderbilt (11% acceptance rate).
Marianne – Worked with humanities-oriented student to build top ACT scores and create college visit experiences over her junior year that could support her love of history and sports. She is now studying history at Brown (8.5% acceptance rate).
Vijay – A STEM and business-oriented student of Indian descent who did not get into his early decision school, and reached out to me for help to re-write his statements. We worked hard to spotlight his character and personal story of learning Sanskrit and ancient Hindu ritual. He got into all his second choice schools, including Cornell (12.7% acceptance rate).

· Action plan for course selection (including honors, SAT Subject Tests, and AP/college courses) and extra-curriculars.
· Action plan for stand-out experiences, jobs, and leadership roles, including summer pre-college academies.

· Continuation of 9th-grade activities, plus the below.
· Student begins to take bold action in areas that truly enliven her/him (e.g. start a club, internship, summer learning experience).
· Student learns to become an advocate for her/his own learning and pursues ways to give back to the community through her/his passions.
· Student begins work on the college list.
· Student begins outreach to universities to learn about the school and connects with professors for summer research projects and internships.
· Student-specific research on the above; monthly parent consultations.
· Student refines college list, visits colleges, and makes connections with admissions offices and professors at top choice schools.
· Student pursues stand out achievements in line with her/his passions (e.g. debate championships, leading their club to a major milestone, publish an important article).
· Student segments schools into reaches, targets, and safeties, as well as Early Decision/ Early Action applications (ED/EA).
· Student dreams about, drafts, rewrites and finalizes the main application statement, communicating critical growth generated from personal pursuits over the previous three years.
· By the beginning of Fall (October senior year), the student finishes the supplements, highlighting character virtues she/he has gained, and is ready to submit A+ applications that fully represent the student as matches to her/his favorite schools.

How often do you meet in a coaching program?
Student sessions are generally twice monthly, though can increase around project deadlines like pre-college application support. Parent consultations are once a month.
Do you do summer support?
Absolutely. Most students work with me during the academic school year and in the summer between 11th and 12th grade. However, in other summers, I often do customized or project-based packages for students. Have a major personal writing project? Need help with last-minute pre-college applications? I am your guy.
